Base yourselves in the historic market town of Chipping Campden and take a series of circular cycle rides exploring the surrounding villages and countryside.
Staying in the market town of Chipping Campden, this 4 day/3 night cycling break offers you the chance to explore the surrounding area on a series of circular cycle rides ranging in distance to suit people of all riding abilities. Chipping Campden is a charming market town with its gently curving Cotswold Stone high street, the fabulous ‘wool church’ of St James, the medieval market hall and almshouses and the remains of William Grevel’s manor house which was partly destroyed in the english civil war. Chipping Campden and its association with the Arts and Crafts movement offers something for everyone and is a great base to explore nearby Broadway, Hidcote Gardens and the surrounding cotswold villages and has many shops, restaurants and pubs to keep you entertained during your stay.
This tour is available to start any day of the week subject to availability. Extra nights are also available at the end of your stay.
The cost of this break is £265 per person based on two people sharing. For solo travellers and those wanting a single room a supplement applies (See Extras).

Day 1- arrive in Moreton-in-Marsh by train from London and then take a taxi or bus to Chipping Campden. Check-in to hotel and spend the rest of your day exploring this historic village. Wander around the ancient streets, visit the Church of St James and the Market Hall and maybe stop in for a pint at a cosy pub on the High Street.
Day 2– If you have ordered bikes they will arrive in the morning and you will receive a brief biking orientation. Then you are free to choose one of our carefully selected circular cycle rides which range in distance from 9 – 40 miles. Return to Chipping Campen in the afternoon and maybe pop to the nearby village of Ebrington for dinner at its fantastic pub.
Day 3– Choose another circular ride from our selection and then make your way back to Chipping Campden for the evening or or you may wish to take a bus to Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford-upon-Avon for dinner.
Day 4– Choose another circular ride from our selection and then head back to the hotel in the afternoon ready for your onwards journey. There is the option of extending the accommodation by one night if you wish to stay on after your tour.

The easiest option would be to get a direct train from London Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh and then to take a short taxi or bus (No 21/22) to Chipping Campden. Train times and prices can be seen at www.thetrainline.com.
London Paddington is easily accessible from both London Heathrow and Gatwick via public transport.
If you have a vehicle you can also drive to Chipping Campden in around two hours from London.

Am I fit enough?
We offer a variety of different cycle routes ranging from 9 miles to 40 miles so there should be something to suit everyone. Please email us if unsure which break is best for you. Please be aware that a good general level of fitness is required and that the Cotswolds is by nature hilly so there are occasional, short ascents but on the whole the routes are quiet and flat wherever possible.
When is the best time of year to go?
You can go any time of year but we recommend March to November as the best time of year for outdoor activities in the Cotswolds.
What should I bring?
We will provide you with a detailed pre-tour folder which includes a packing list but as a guide: layered cycle wear, waterproof jacket and trousers, comfortable trainers, warm jacket.
Do you offer London pickups?
Pick ups from London and other towns and villages can be arranged at an extra cost.
How long is this tour?
This tour last for 4 days and 3 nights with the option to extend by an extra night at the end of the tour
